Richmond Tigers launch Operation 10,000, a unique social media campaign with the aim of boosting online membership sales for 2011. Surface Media recently worked with the Tigers to design and build the Operation 10,000 website which allows Richmond members to join the campaign, connect to their Facebook accounts and share the campaign video with friends through Facebook or via email. Operation 10,000 members earn points as their friends join the campaign and/or become Richmond members. The incentive - a share of over $25,000 in cash and prizes. Richmond is the first of the AFL clubs to really leverage the power of social media as part of a focused campaign to reach out to supporters online. Surface Media is proud to have been a part of it.
